On July 1 the RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan attended the solemn sitting dedicated to Prosecutor’s Office Employee Day.

Congratulating the attendees on their professional day the RA NA Speaker said in particular:

“Distinguished representatives of the prosecutors’ system, dear friends, first of all, let me congratulate you on your professional day, on the occasion of Prosecutor’s Office Employee Day.

The Prosecutor’s Office has passed a long path of establishment and development, permanently occupying a special place in the system of the state bodies. On the other hand, it is not long ago, in the independent Armenia Prosecutor’s Office Employee Day is officially marked, and from that view this is the next phase of the path taking to further jubilees. To your honour, I should say that you successfully pass that path.

Every legal state needs reliable bases of stability and legality. As one of the pillars of the state power the Prosecutor’s Office has passed all the phases of the development of our country. The amendments taking place in our life enter certain proofreadings in any work, among them, in the system of the Prosecutor’s Office.

To evaluate the work of any structure in this quick changing world the duration of the period of its activity is not only accepted as a main criterion of assessment. It is more important to feel the rhythm of time and record achievements. We can say from this view that the system of the Prosecutor’s Office with its biography can confidently keep the pace. The fact that criticism sounds to its address, means that the system is a working, functioning and living organ, in case of which, the availability of praise and dissatisfaction is natural.

This means to be at the centre of attention, enjoy an attitude, which in turn witnesses to the fact that the wall of indifference towards the public life is broken among the people, irrespective of their response, and you are able to have your contribution to the establishment of the civil society, providing decent protection of a person, society and interests of the state, especially one of the guarantees of the execution of the citizens’ constitutional rights and freedoms are considered the Prosecutor’s Office bodies. And the growth of the citizens’ trust towards the system is the main criterion of the evaluation of your work. It, of course, supposes big responsibility for the Prosecutor’s Office employees, moreover, that we should always remember that behind any action is the man, the human destiny.

Dear friends, besides the legal plane the mutual relation between the Prosecutor’s Office and the society and being understandable and audible to each other is very important, which means to raise to a new level the Prosecutor’s Office-citizen relationship. The steps being taken in that direction in the system of the Prosecutor’s Office are inclined to make those relations more distinct and reliable.

I am sure that your experience and knowledge will continue promoting the strengthening of legality and discipline in the country and due to your coordinated and professional activity the problems put before the Prosecutor’s Office, including the protection of the citizens’ rights and the interests of the state, from now on will be successfully solved.

Once again congratulating you on the occasion of the professional holiday, I wish you health, welfare and resoluteness.”

On the occasion of Prosecutor’s Office Employee Day for decently fulfilling the office obligations Galust Sahakyan awarded the RA NA Speaker’s Memorial Medal the Deputy Head of the Department of the RA Prosecutor’s Office Armen Panosyan, the Prosecutor of Shirak Marz, the State Counselor of the Second Class of Justice Raffi Aslanyan and the Prosecutor of Syunik Marz, the State Counselor of the Second Class of Justice Armen Afandyan.
