According to the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan’s decision under Article 70 of the RA Constitution at the initiative of the RA Government the NA Extraordinary Session was held on June 15.

By the decision of the National Assembly the first day of the extraordinary session three sittings with one and a half hour duration will be convened. The duration of the first interval is one hour, the second interval is half an hour. Beginning from the second year every day four sittings will be convened with one and a half duration, the duration of the intervals is half an hour, the beginning of the sittings is at 11 a.m.

By the proposal of the NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan the deputies in one-minute silence honoured the memory of the victims as a consequence of disastrous flood occurred in Tbilisi.

The draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Social Security of Servicemen and Their Family Members” was passed in the first reading.

Afterwards the deputies continued debating the draft law “On the Investment Program for Processing Industrial Dumps Accumulated and Accumulating in Voghji, Pkhrut, Artsvanik Tailing Dumps, as well as Generated and Generating as a Result of the Activity of Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine CJSC.”

The NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan delivered an extraordinary speech on the draft law.

The NA Factions Rule of Law (Heghine Bisharyan), Prosperous Armenia (Mikayel Melkumyan), and the RPA (Vahram Baghdasaryan) presented their views on the draft law.

In his final speech the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Vardan Ayvazyan informed that the draft law had been considered in detail at the Committee.

The RA Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Areg Galstyan positively assessed the deputies’ submitted proposals. He expressed readiness to debate jointly the proposals with the deputies.

Then the parliament considered the protocol concerning the accession of Kyrgyzstan to the EEU, which presented the RA First Deputy Minister of the International Economic Integration and Reforms Suren Karayan.

The NA Factions Rule of Law (Heghine Bisharyan), the Heritage (Tevan Poghosyan), the Prosperous Armenia (Naira Zohrabyan) presented their positions on the treaty.

The NA Deputy Speaker gave an extraordinary speech and considered the accession of Armenia to the EEU justified and in terms of economy very beneficial and perspective.

The parliament also debated the protocol on the amendments to certain international treaties concerning Kyrgyzstan.

The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan presented the endorsement on the protocols.

The consideration of the protocol will continue on June 16.
