At the Sittings of the NA Standing Committees

On June 15 the NA Standing Committees convened sittings.

The NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Gagik Minasyan debated the bill “On Amending the RA Law on State Debt.” The key speaker, the RA Deputy Minister of Finance-Chief Treasurer Atom Janjughazyan presented the goal of the draft law.

The Committee endorsed the bill for including in the draft agenda of the extraordinary session of the NA fifth convocation.

The RA Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Areg Galstyan presented the Loan Agreement on Electricity Transmission Network Improvement Project signed between the Republic of Armenia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development on April 8, 2015.

The RA Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication Artur Arakelyan introduced the Agreement on Provision of the Investment Loan from the EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund (ACF) for the Project on the Construction of the North-South Road Corridor (phase 4)  signed on April 14, 2015 between the RA and the Eurasian Development Bank.

The Deputy Minister of the RA Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations Vache Terteryan introduced the Loan Agreement on Social Investment and Local Development Project signed between the Republic of Armenia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development on April 8, 2015.

The considered agreements with the endorsement will be submitted for the ratification of the parliament.

The NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations moderated by Artak Zakaryan debated the protocols concerning the accession of Kyrgyzstan to the EEU signed in Moscow on May 8, 2015.

The RA First Deputy Minister of the International Economic Integration and Reforms Suren Karayan has noted that amendments are designed concerning the accession of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to the EEU in the treaties.

The Committee Chairman Artak Zakaryan has noted that the expansion of the EEU can open new economic perspectives which can have a positive impact on the development of Armenia’s economy.

The Committee endorsed the three considered protocols.
