On April 13 the member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment Lyova Khachatryan organized a working discussion with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation) with the aim to work out the main executive indices of the budgetary programs existing in the sphere of agriculture. The representatives of the RA Government and international organizations attended the discussion.

Karen Avetisyan, Head of the Financial-Economic and Accounting Department of the RA Ministry of Agriculture, who presented the projects “Forest Management Program” and “Works of the Land Improvement,” has noted that they are still incomplete, thus they can be undergone to certain changes as a result of working discussion. According to him, the goal of the programs is to raise the efficiency of the management of the maintenance of the forest territories, as well as to increase the fertility of the lands of agricultural importance for Armenia, the use of the efficient and ecologically safe fertilizers.

The participants also presented recommendations, which will be discussed by the government.
