On March 23 within the framework of the NA Open Doors programme the President of the RA National Assembly Galust Sahakyan hosted the pupils and teachers from N 1 and N 2 schools of Karakert community of Armavir Marz. First they attended the NA sitting and observed the deputies’ work.

Welcoming the pupils, the NA President presented the order of the formation of the legislative power, the activity of the NA Standing Committees and parliamentary factions, the procedure of the elaboration and adoption of the legislative initiatives. Mr Sahakyan highlighted such meetings and urged the pupils to be enterprising and decent citizens for the country.

Galust Sahakyan has noted that the parliament highlights the education and always keeps the problems on education and educational system at the centre of his attention. Its vivid evidence is also the fact that every day many young people get an opportunity by the support of the state to study in 10 best higher educational institutions of the world.

The pupils of Karakert addressed their questions to the NA President and thanked him for having the opportunity to raise the issues concerning them in one of the most important structures of the country. They were mainly interested in the functions of the legislative power, legislative initiatives and educational reforms.

At the end of the visit the pupils were taken a photo with the NA President Galust Sahakyan in the NA Session Hall.
