On February 24 within the framework of the Open Doors programme a group of lecturers and students from Northern University visited the National Assembly. The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov conducted the lesson. During the sincere talk the students addressed their questions to the NA Deputy Speaker.

The students have informed Eduard Sharmazanov about the decision of the Scientific Council of Northern University, according to which, the students from the countries which recognized the Armenian Genocide can study in the University, paying the half of the fee. The students also proposed to apply this approach in other Armenian higher educational institutions. Eduard Sharmazanov has positively appreciated the decision of the Scientific Council of the University.

Touching upon the events being held ahead of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, the NA Deputy Speaker has noted that the Armenian parliament has also envisaged certain events, but, according to Eduard Sharmazanov, every Armenian should have his/her contribution to the recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide. Speaking about the Pan-Armenian Declaration Eduard Sharmazanov has considered it a historical document for the whole Armenian people.
