On December 2 the RA NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan met with Kateryna Ryabiko, Officer at the OSCE/ODIHR Democratic Governance and Gender Issues Department and Jemma Hasratyan, President of the Association of Women with University Education.  

Welcoming the guests, Hermine Naghdalyan highlighted the cooperation with OSCE/ODIHR, which, according to her assessment, promotes the intensification of democratic institutions in Armenia and human rights defense. The NA Deputy Speaker touched upon gender issues, the issues on women’s involvement in the political processes and enhancement of their role, presented the RPA Party Council women’s activities in different spheres, including in the election processes.

During the meeting “Women’s Participation and Role in Parties” program initiated and implemented by OSCE/ODIHR, concerning which the NA Deputy Speaker presented her comments and suggestions.

The guests expressed their gratitude to the NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan for always supporting various programs, mainly dealing with gender equality and women’s political participation, and expressed willingness to continue the cooperation.
