On November 12 in the hall adjacent to the National Assembly Session Hall the final phase of the exhibitions “Under Parajanov’s Light” took place. Let us note that the exhibitions initiated by the National Assembly have been held in different marzes of the republic and in Artsakh, enjoying the attention of the art loving and gifted young people. And now in the National Assembly the works, which enjoying the high evaluation of the jury are shown in the National Assembly. Meeting with the participants of the exhibition, the Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan congratulated them on the occasion of taking part in the exhibition and passing into the republican phase.

Then with big solemnity the final phase of the exhibition “Under Parajanov’s Light” opened. The RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan, the NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan, Eduard Sharmazanov, the Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan, the RA NA deputies and painters attended the opening ceremony. Welcoming the guests, Artak Davtyan has noted that programmes, which has begun seven months ago is coming to its end. The organizers’ goal has been to reach the messages of Sergey Parajanov, an artist and free thinking citizen’s art to the young people, boost their creative potential. Artak Davtyan thanked all the people, who had supported to organize the exhibitions in different marzes of the republic, Artsakh and Yerevan.

The Director of Sergey Parajanov Museum Zaven Sargsyan, who through many months has opened the doors of the museum before the participants of the exhibition, familiarizing the children with the great artist’s work, in his speech has noted that courage is characteristic in the children’s art. They have fully felt and reflected in their works the diversity of Parajanov’s art.

Touching upon the children’s works, Shushan Petrosyan has noted that the most sincere painting is created by the children’s hand, and the biggest force of Parajanov’s art is in sincerity. She has noted that among the shown works there are the ones, whose authors in future will present the Armenian culture to the world.

Karine Atshemyan, who for many months has watched and chosen the works of the exhibition participants, has noted that today a wonderful programme is summed up, which has helped the children of different places of the republic and Artsakh to reveal the flight of their mind and creative gift. In the deputy’s word, all the works are uniquely interesting and valuable.

Summing up the event the RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan has congratulated the children, their teachers and organizers, noting that the idea of fulfilling the programme has been born in the period when Hovik Abrahamyan has been the RA NA Speaker. He has highlighted the summing up of the exhibition in the National Assembly, considering that with this a tribute is paid to the great artist’s memory.

Then the participants of Aragatsotn, Shirak, Tavush, Gegharkunik, Kotayk, Ararat marzes, Artsakh and Yerevan have been handed over certificates. Special prizes have been given to Rafayel Chtchyan, Ani Khachatryan and Amalya Stepanyan.

Artur Asatryan from Artsakh has enjoyed the first prize, Anna Smbatyan has been given the second prize and Ani Ghochikyan from Tavush marz has received the third prize.

The teachers of the children who have received the prizes has also been handed over the NA nominal watches and letters of acknowledgement. The organizer of the exhibitions Marine Hakobyan has noted that the children’s works will be shown for about a month in the National Assembly.
