On November 11 within the framework of the NA “Open Doors” programme the Chairman of the RA National Assembly Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan hosted the pupils and teachers of Gyumri Ghevond Alishan N 8 School. Welcoming the guests Mr Davtyan presented the activity, the structure of the parliament, the work and the functions of the 12 NA Standing Committees to the pupils.
By the Committee Chairman’s proposal the meeting was held in the format of Q & A session. The schoolchildren addressed questions concerning them, which mainly related to the educational programmes, the possible reforms in the RA educational system, the modern technologies, the activity of the private higher educational institutions, the legislative initiatives, ecology and other problems.
At the end of the meeting Artak Davtyan advised the pupils to study well and be qualified specialists for the state.
