On November 6 in Moscow the Delegation led by the Head of the RA National Assembly, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov took part in the works of the CSTO PA Council sitting. The representatives of the RA NA Delegation to the CSTO PA Khosrov Harutyunyan and Koryun Nahapetyan are in the RA NA Delegation.

At the sitting of the Council issues relating to the parliamentary diplomacy, the provision of the international and regional security, as well as the 70^th anniversary of the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War were discussed. The sides highlighted the necessity of further strengthening and deepening of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

The RF Delegation has announced that agrees with the position of the RA Delegation, which refers to the statement of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO PA) on the situation of the South Caucasus and on the regions adjacent to the CSTO responsibility zone.

The CSTO PA Chairman, the Speaker of the RF State Duma Sergey Narishkin accepted the recommendation of the RA NA Delegation, expressing readiness to discuss the issue at the upcoming sitting.

The Head of the Armenian Delegation Eduard Sharmazanov proposed the participants to hold the sitting of the CSTO PA Council in Yerevan in autumn of 2015.
