On November 3 the next sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs moderated the Committee Chair Elinar Vardanyan was held.

By the decision of the Committee in the future parliamentary hearings will be held on the themes “On the Use of the Code Number of the Public Services” and “On the Fulfillment of the Resolution N 1900 ‘On Definition of the Political Prisoner’ of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe by the RA.” During the sitting the members of the Committee also debated issues concerning the upcoming activity of the Committee.

On the same day the next sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment moderated by Martun Grigoryan was held. The draft law “On Amending the RA Law on the Evaluation of the Influence and Expertise on the Environment” submitted by the order of the legislative initiative by the NA deputies Lyova Khachatryan, Armen Avetisyan, Martun Grigoryan and Vahagn Makhsudyan was put for debate.

The Deputy Minister of Nature Protection Simon Papyan proposed to refer to the draft law later, preliminarily cooperating with the Committee and making necessary amendments. As a result of voting of the Committee members, a decision was made to postpone the debate of the draft law up to one year.
