On October 30 the Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan and members of the Committee Artashes Geghamyan, Mher Shahgeldyan, Tevan Poghsoyan met with the members of Kazakhstan-Armenia Friendship Group. The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Armenia Ayimdos Bozzhigitov attended the meeting.
In the course of the meeting the sides discussed a number of issues concerning the development of the relations of the two countries: the activation of the inter-parliamentary relations, the cooperation in the international parliamentary structures and the development of economic partnership, especially within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, was highlighted.
Welcoming the guests in the parliament, Artak Zakaryan has considered necessary to develop the Armenian-Kazakh parliamentary relations, underlining that the two countries have big opportunities to activate the mutually beneficial cooperation in different spheres, which is possible to implement only with joint efforts.
Thanking for the warm reception the Kazakh side has also highlighted the bilateral relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan, as well as the development of cooperation in the international structures.
The members of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations emphasized the deepening of inter-parliamentary relations, the frequent mutual visits and the exchange of experience in a series of spheres.
The interlocutors also touched upon Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union, and talked about the activity of the Armenian community in Kazakhstan.
The Head of Kazakhstan-Armenia Friendship invited the members of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations to the parliament of Kazakhstan.
