On October 29 the Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan met with the participants of discussion programme initiated by the European Integration NGO. Let us note that the programme gives an opportunity to the young people to get acquainted with today’s political main directions of Armenia.
Welcoming the young people in the parliament Artak Zakaryan has highlighted the programme being jointly implemented with the European Integration NGO, which gives an opportunity to create one more tribune and discuss issues concerning the foreign policy. The Committee Chairman presented to the young people the main functions of the National Assembly, and has touched upon the peculiarities of the parliamentary diplomacy.
Then a warm and sincere talk was held. The young people were interested in the issues mainly relating to the integration processes of Armenia, particularly Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union and the RA-EU relations, as well as the protection of the human rights in Armenia and the development of democracy.
Talking about the RA foreign policy Mr Zakaryan has noted that after the accession to the Eurasian Economic Union Armenia will continue to pursue a balanced and multivector policy.
