The RA NA again has initiated one more symbolic event too. This time it is dedicated to the acclaimed filmmaker Sergey Parajanov’s 90^th birth anniversary, and it is not accidental that it has the heading “Under Parajanov’s Light.” Let us note that the idea belonged to the NA former Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan. The series of events is now realized under the high aegis of the NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan. The responsible of the programme is the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport. The jubilee initiative involves Armenia, as well as the NKR. The solemn ceremony started in Charles Aznavour House of Culture of the city Artashat, Ararat Marz. About 60 works of 30 pupils aged 12-17 were presented. After studying the collage collections the 5 jury members, as a result of closed discussions, chose the 6 best works. As the Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Youth, the jury member Karine Poghosyan has noted, the best authors will proceed to the final phase, and their works will be shown in the RA National Assembly. Mrs Poghosyan has added that the winners will receive diplomas, incentive awards, and the best work will become a cultural symbol of the year in the RA NA. The Chairman of the RA Painters’ Union Karen Aghamyan, Jury Chairman at the same time, in his word first thanked the NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan for showing direct support, then documented with joy that similar events serve as a serious stimulus in revealing talented and gifted children.
