On April 4 the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport organized a working meeting, where organizational issues of the programme “Under Parajanov’s Light” were discussed.
The Committee Chairman Artak Davtyan has informed the attendee that by the sponsorship of the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan the programme titled “Under Parajanov’s Light” is designed to be held, which is dedicated to the well-acclaimed filmmaker Sergey Parajanov’s 90th birthday jubilee.
He noted that the 10th and 11th grade pupils of art, secondary and senior schools in the Republic of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh Republic would take part in the programme, and present their works in the vanguard genre – paintings and graphic works, collages, etc. for the jury's consideration.
The programme, which is scheduled to run during April-June of this year, is aimed at giving the youth an opportunity to deepen vanguard art perception skills, develop their abilities and thinking to free creation, as well as enable them to get acquainted with Sergey Parajanov’s multi-genre works.
To this end, photo exhibitions of Sergey Parajanov’s works and visits to the Sergey Parajanov Museum in Yerevan will be organized in the marzes.
The winners of the competition will receive prizes and honorary certificates, the best works will be exhibited in the National Assembly.
