NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov made a comment on the statement made by Ilham Aliyev in connection with the NK problem at the Government sitting, which was held in Baku yesterday. In particular, the latter has said that the day will come, when the Azerbaijani flag will be waved in Stepanakert and Shushi. In connection with this Edaurd Sharmazanov has said:

“First, Azerbaijan should stop the arms race and military rhetoric. Second, Azerbaijan should prepare its society not for war, but for peace.

Third, if Aliyev Junior wants very much to see Azerbaijani flag in Stepanakert, then there is only one way for reaching it: establishment of diplomatic relations with independent republic of Artsakh, as a result of which, the flag of the independent republic of Artsakh will be waved in the NKR Embassy of Baku, and their flag can be placed on the building of the neighbouring Azerbaijani Embassy in the NKR capital Stepanakert. I think that sooner or later in the country situated in the east of Artsakh they will realize that the NKR international recognition has no alternative.”
