NA Deputy Speaker Meets the Diaspora Armenian Pupils
1 / 3

On April 5 the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly met a group of Diaspora Armenian pupils and their parents.

The NA Deputy Speaker has expressed conviction that such visits give very good opportunity for realization of national self-identity and promote the generation’s solidarity and being united, which in its turn, becomes the most important factor of state building and realization of national desires.

“You have come to your Motherland, as Armenia is the cradle of all Armenians of the world,” Mr Sharmazanov said. “The fact of big amount of Armenians spread all over the world is conditioned by the Genocide perpetrated by the Ottoman Turkey at the beginning of the previous century. It can never be forgotten. Without condemnation of that crime, recognition of that heinous fact by the international community and first of all, by Turkey nobody can guarantee that such crimes won’t be again repeated.”

The NA Deputy Speaker urged the parents to educate and raise their children with Armenian values, as they will be the ones with their sisters and brothers living in Armenia to implement our national goals and build democratic powerful Armenia.

In response to Sharmazanov’s question what feelings the children have being in Armenia, the answer was one – pride.

The NA Deputy Speaker was taken photo in the Session Hall with the Diaspora Armenian pupils and their parents.
