The Speaker of RA National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan congratulated the staff of Hayastany Hanrapetutyun (Republic of Armenia) daily on the occasion of the release of the 5000^th issue of the daily: “I heartily congratulate the whole staff of Hayastany Hanrapetutyun daily, the current and former employees, also those who have stood in the sources of the creation of the newspaper, us, the readers on the occasion of the release of the 5000^th issue of the newspaper.

The Armenian Parliament founded the daily, which was first published on October 9, 1990, and for 10 years it was published as an official newspaper of the legislative body. Thus, Hayastany Hanrapetutyun is not only media, but in some way it is also a special autograph timely given by the parliament to the history and the society.

Armenia officially presented its bid of statehood to the history and mankind through Hayastany Hanrapetutyun daily 20 years ago, which was affirmed by the referendum of independence on September 21, 1991. From that time till now Hayastany Hanrapetutyun is able to combine and balance the inspiration and soberness, feelings and reality, as it realizes the seriousness of the process of building state. And that process is continuous, in which everybody shall take part.

I am sure that retaining the reserved and balanced posture Hayastany Hanrapetutyun daily will continue to fulfill its mission with responsibility for the sake of the country and the people.

I wish the whole staff of the daily health, success, inexhaustible energy and optimism.”
