At the sitting of October 15 of the Standing Committee on Health Care of the Republic of Armenia, the draft law on Making Amendments to the Law on Human Reproductive Health and Reproductive Rights was debated in the first reading.
According to the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Armen Gasparyan, the adoption of the draft law stems from the need to implement the decision of the Constitutional Court of April 1, 2025 No. 1775.
The draft law on Making Addenda to the Law on Medical Assistance and Service to the Population was submitted for consideration by the Committee in the second reading by the First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Lena Nanushyan.
According to the key rapporteur, during the period from the first to the second reading, the Ministry of Justice received proposals related to legal techniques, based on which the revised version was submitted for consideration.
As a result of the adoption of the draft law, the powers of the authorized state administration body in the healthcare sector to assess the compliance of the implementation of the quality management system will be fixed.
The debated legislative initiatives were endorsed.
The annual schedule for organizing the reception of citizens for 2025-2026 has been approved by the Standing Committee on Health Care.
