1 / 2

It is proposed to clarify disciplinary penalties and incentives for police officers and rescue workers and ensure a unified approach by extending the provisions of the Law on Civil Service to the mentioned services, and to establish only the regulations specific to these services through sectoral laws. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Armen Mkrtchyan, presenting the legislative package Code of Conduct and Discipline of the Police during the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security convened on September 5.

According to the Deputy Minister, the package will enshrine the system of good conduct of police officers and rescue workers, separate ethics committees will be created for each service, and the specifics of the investigation of violations of good conduct of the relevant employees will be established.

The package of draft laws was endorsed.

The Committee also decided to approve the schedule for the reception of citizens by members of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia for 2025-2026.
