The necessity to develop a legislative package is conditioned by the necessity to ensure proper supervision in the education sphere. The Head of the Inspection Bodies’ Coordination Bureau of the RA Prime Minister’s Staff Petros Martirosyan said this.
On January 15, at the sitting of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport the draft law On Inspection Control in the Sphere of Education and the package of the attached presented draft laws.
As a result of the adoption, legal relations related to the activities of the inspection body in the sphere of education will be regulated, creating necessary and sufficient legal prerequisites for the normal supervision of the inspection body.
With the proposing amendments, the inspection body will also monitor the conditions and requirements of the license for the implementation of educational services by universities. Accordingly, the Inspection Body has been granted the opportunity to apply administrative sanctions.
Petros Martirosyan answered the deputies’ questions, presenting clarifications, particularly, on issues related to the licensing process and regulations regarding extracurricular education. The draft was endorsed.
