At the extraordinary sitting of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs on December 5, the draft law on Amending the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia was debated and endorsed in the second reading. By the legislative initiative, entities engaged in the production of agricultural products will be exempted from paying profit tax by 31 December 2026.
No proposals were submitted on the draft during the period from the first to the second reading.

At the extraordinary sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection held on the same day, the draft law providing for an addendum to the law on Local Self-Government, authored by the NA deputies of the Civil Contract Faction Vladimir Vardanyan, Anush Kloyan and Emma Palyan, was debated in the second reading.
The key rapporteur Vladimir Vardanyan informed that during the period from the first to the second reading, no written proposals were submitted. The Committee debated the oral proposal submitted by the deputy of the NA Armenia Faction Arman Ghazaryan, which was not accepted.
The Committee endorsed the draft law.
