At the extraordinary sitting convened on December 5, at the initiative of the Government, the Parliament debated a number of draft laws in the second reading.
The Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan presented the revised version of the legislative package providing for amendments and addenda to the Electoral Code of the Republic of Armenia and the related laws.
“The proposed amendments aim to solve a number of issues that emerged during the previous elections,” the rapporteur underlined.
The Minister touched upon the proposals submitted during the period from the first to the second readings, which were adopted, and corresponding amendments were made to the package of draft laws.
The draft law on Making Amendments to the Law on Medical Aid and Service for the Population and the attached package of bills were presented by the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Artak Jumayan. According to him, the amendments will create an opportunity to develop a national domestic procedure for the registration of medical products.
According to the rapporteur, until December 31, 2027, medical products manufactured in Armenia and imported into the territory of the Republic of Armenia can be circulated in our country until the end of their shelf life.
In order to create a rapid response medical group in the Republic of Armenia, the Executive is making addenda and amendments to the Law on Medical Aid and Service to the Population. The initiative was presented by the First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Lena Nanushyan. According to her, editorial amendments were made after the first reading.
The Deputy Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia Aram Meymaryan presented the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Lake Sevan for debate.
According to the Deputy Minister, no proposals were submitted during the period from the first to the second readings.
The Head of the Inspection Bodies' Coordination Bureau at the Prime Minister's Office Petros Martirosyan presented the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on State Regulation of Ensuring Technical Safety and the attached package of draft laws.
The rapporteur noted that after the first reading, some amendments were made, which were submitted by the MPs.
The debated issues were adopted in the second reading and in full.
