At the sitting of November 14, the National Assembly debated a number of drafts in the second reading.
With the adoption of the draft law on Legal Assistance in Criminal Proceedings and the package of the related bills, it will be possible to completely regulate the legal relations arising in the field of legal assistance, to create full and effective mechanisms for the implementation of mutual legal assistance with foreign countries: The Acting Deputy Minister of Justice of the RA Armenuhi Harutyunyan said.
MP Vladimir Vardanyan presented a proposal regarding the initiative from the first to the second reading, which was accepted.
The authors of the initiative regarding the vehicle inspection process are the deputies of the Civil Contract Faction Babken Tunyan and Narek Zeynalyan.
The date of entry into force of the draft law is July 1, 2025.
The Deputy Head of the RA State Protection Service Grigory Arakelyan presented the legislative package on ensuring the security of persons subject to special state protection and providing for addenda and mendments to the attached laws for debate.
According to the rapporteur, after the first reading, the MPs did not present any proposals. However, at the proposal of the Government, technical amendments and one substantive addendum were made to the law on ensuring the security of persons subject to special state protection.
In the second reading, the MPs also debated the legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Plant Sanitation and on Making Addenda and Amendments to the attached laws. It was presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Economy Tatevik Sargsyan. According to her, the adoption of the package stems from the legislative reforms in the field of phytosanitary.
It was noted that the initiative was revised taking into consideration the proposals of the deputy Mikayel Tumasyan and the Expertise and Analytical Department of the National Assembly.
The First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of ArmeniaLena Nanushyan presented the addenda to the Law on Medical Aid and Service to the Population. It is proposed to provide compulsory courses for medical professionals by law.
