Issues on cooperation with Eurasian Union and regional countries debated at joint sitting of NA Committees

Speaking about the cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and the regional countries we should note that our country cooperates with the Eurasian Development Bank, with which together a number of projects are implemented. Two of them are presented by the budget 2025. The RA Minister said this at the joint meeting of the NA Standing Committees on Regional and Eurasian Integration and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, continuing to present the draft law On State Budget 2025 to the parliamentarians.

“149 million AMD was allocated from the state budget to implement the programme Overhaul of infrastructures of the water committee within the framework of the projects of the irrigation systems development being implemented by the support of the Eurasian Development Bank, 124 million AMD out of which is a grant, 24 million AMD – co-financing. The next programme is aimed at the improvement of the road network Kajaran-Agarak road section. 19 billion 124 million AMD was designed to allocate for implementing this programme,” the Chief Financier of the country noted.

Afterwards, in the context of the report of the State Budget 2025, the RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan informed that in terms of the EEU membership in 2024, positive moves were recorded in a series of spheres and mentioned that in January-August of the reporting year the trade turnover, the export and the import and the flow of foreign investments increased. Reference was made to the implemented works of the Ministry, the current activity and the programmes.

The parliamentarians addressed question to the Head of the Ministry, which referred to the decrease of the export of the Armenian goods to the RF, mortgage market, the agreements of the EEU member countries and the free trade of the third countries and other themes.

The Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan presented the development on the Ministry developing foreign policy. The Deputy Foreign Minister presented a report on RA presidency in the EEU statutory bodies, the pursuing negotiations with the RA-EEU countries, the decisions made and the signed agreements.
