On September 9, the RA NA President Alen Simonyan received the delegation led by the President of the Federal Supreme Court (FSC) of the Republic of Iraq being in Armenia. The President of the RA Constitutional Court Arman Dilanyan also took part in the meeting.
Thanking the FSC President for the visit to Armenia, the RA NA President highlighted such visits in terms of the development of bilateral relations, stressing the readiness of the Republic of Armenia to deepen the friendly relations with Iraq.
In his turn the President of the Federal Supreme Court of the Republic of Iraq Jassim Muhammad Abboud thanked the RA NA President for warm reception, underscoring the historical basis of relations between Armenia and Iraq, the wish of Iraq to give new impetus to them, as well as the presence of the Armenian community in Iraq.
The RA NA President also spoke about the regional developments, reaffirming the faithfulness and perseverance of the Republic of Armenia to the peace agenda. The interlocutors also discussed other issues of bilateral interest.
