On September 9, the NA Council convened an extraordinary sitting, on the agenda of which was the item on appointing member of the Competitive Council being formed for the election of the candidates in the positions of the members of the Corruption Prevention Commission (CPC).
The NA President Alen Simonyan reminded that during the previous session the NA decisions on appointing members of the Corruption Prevention Commission were not made. Hence, a new Competitive Council, comprised of one member from the Government, the Supreme Judicial Council, Human Rights Defender, the Chamber of Advocates and the Factions of the National Assembly or appointed by the NA Council should be formed for the election of the CPC two members.
The Civil Contract Faction nominated the candidacy of the NA deputy Arusyak Julhakyan, and the Armenia and With Honor factions did not nominate any candidates.
Arusyak Julhakyan was appointed Member of the Competitive Council being formed for the election of the candidates in the positions of the members of the Corruption Prevention Commission.
