In regulating the activities of the RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs are the problems on protection of human rights, children’s rights, religion, national minorities and numerous other spheres. The Committee in its everyday procedure works for solving the problems in the mentioned spheres. That is the reason that the Deputy Chair of the Committee Rustam Bakoyan, the members Tigran Parsilyan and Marina Ghazaryan this time were hosted in Arevut Yazidi populated enlarged community of Aragatsotn Marz, in Kanch, Tlik and Hako settlements.
“The national minorities are always at the centre of attention of the RA Government and the Parliament. Every possible thing is done that the Yazidi community preserve the national identity, and in that context, we are interested in your needs,” Rustam Bakoyan said during the meeting with the representatives of the community and once again stressed that the Government, on behalf of the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, reaffirmed the readiness of solving the problems existing long ago stage by stage.
The representatives of the communities also expressed their satisfaction with beginning the repairing works of the 12,1-km part of Tatul-Kanch-Hako road broken through decades, afterwards indicated the most important issues following it. They are – the poor situation of the inner-rural roads, the lack of the kindergarten, senior school, drinking water, gasification and medical institution and the unemployment.
Afterwards, the parliamentarians visited the Basic School of Arevut, got familiarized with the building conditions, talked with the schoolchildren. Then the reservoir being built in Tlik settlement was presented to the deputies of the National Assembly, which was aimed at to solve the problem of not having water for the residents.
The next working day, the Committee members also visited Ararat Marz, got acquainted with greenhouses and farms on the spot, listened to the problems concerning the agriculturalists and approved the necessity of being engaged with intensive agriculture and developing it.
