Alen Simonyan Meets with President of Football Association of Qatar on the Initiative of the Latter

The delegation led by the RA NA President Alen Simonyan met with the President of Football Association of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani.

The President of Football Association of Qatar, who initiated the meeting introduced the programmes to be implemented immediately after the FIFA World Cup held in Doha a month ago.

The RA NA President noted that the organization of the world games was a great challenge for Qatar, what the country accepted with honour. Alen Simonyan informed that football is also one of the most spectacular and most spread sports in Armenia, and there is a problem of development of the infrastructure and investments.

At the meeting the proposal by the President of the Football Federation of Armenia Armen Melikbekyan was conveyed to the President of Football Association of Qatar to have a friendly match of Armenia-Qatar National teams. The proposal was gladly accepted.
