It is Designed to Implement a Programme Political Parties for Inclusive Democracy

T he Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD) designs to implement a programme Political Parties for Inclusive Democracy in Armenia, the goal of which is the development of the capacities of the politicians and the parties and the provision of the content engagement in the political and democratic processes of Armenia by them.

On January 24, the Secretary of the RA NA Armenia Faction Artsvik Minasyan and the deputy of the Faction Artur Khachatryan met with the Head of Programmes & Knowledge at the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD) Wouter Dol and the Senior Programme and Knowledge Advisor Reem Jude h.

Thanking the MPs for the meeting Wouter Dol noted that the goal of the visit is in the framework of the initiative to expand the cooperation with Armenia. The embassies of the two countries supported the visit.

Artsvik Minasyan presented the members of the faction, mentioning that today it is the biggest parliamentary opposition faction, which has its activities not only in parliament, but outside. In this context he noted that the ARF Party included in the faction managed to unite 1/3 of the political forces adjacent to extra parliamentary various streams around one table, having on the agenda the neutralization of the dangers threatening Armenia and the counteracting the policy being pursued by the authorities. According to the deputy, the ARF Party functioning from 1890 through its different institutions and structures works in different countries of the world, and is ready signing agreements, also to cooperate with the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy .

Artsvik Minasyan and Artur Khachatryan touched upon the power-opposition relations, the workstyle of the authorities, the necessity of the implementation of certain changes in the constitutional law the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, which can balance the power-opposition complicated relations.
