“The draft proposes to reduce the additional salary – the supplement and the bonus, of the persons holding the positions of the president, vice president and judge of the Constitutional Court by the amount of the increase in the basic salary,” the Head of the Civil Service Bureau of the Office of the RA Prime Minister Vache Kalashyan informed.
The draft law on Amending the Law on Remuneration of Persons Holding State Positions and State Service Positions authored by the Government was debated in the first reading at the regular sitting of the National Assembly on December 6.
According to the proposed amendments, the 80% supplement set for the vice president and judge will become 70%. The 70% supplement set for the judge of the Anti-Corruption Court – 60%.
The 60% supplement for individual judges examining corruption cases of the Criminal Court of Appeals will also be reduced to 55%.
The 100% increase for persons holding autonomous positons in the Anti-Corruption Committee, as well as the employees of the Committee, will be reduced to 92%.
According to Vache Kalashyan, the reductions are due to the fact that the minimum salary will be 75.000 AMD from January 1, 2023, as a result of which, in accordance with the procedure established by law, the basic salary of persons holding state position and state service position should also increase, amounting to 83.200 AMD.
The Chair of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Vladimir Vardanyan, emphasizing the reductions, made observations about the draft.
Mariam Poghosyan presented the endorsement of the Standing (Head) Committee on Labor and Social Affairs and called on to vote for the draft.
