Representatives of NA AStaff in Parliament of Sweden on Cognitive Visit: Similar Meetings are Also Important in Terms of Presenting Armenian Experience

From September 17 till October 1, within the framework of the Project Modern Parliament for a Modern Armenia, the representatives of the RA NA Staff on a cognitive visit were hosted in the Parliament of Sweden (Riksdag) to get acquainted with the activities of the Riksdag Staff, to expand the cooperation and exchange of experience with different subdivisions, particularly, with the Research Service, Communications Division and the Department for Visits, Education and Events.

The Secretary General of the Swedish Parliament Ingvar Mattson welcomed the delegation of the National Assembly and highlighted the cooperation of the Staffs of parliaments to develop the research capabilities of the Staffs.

The NA Chief of Staff, Secretary General Vahan Naribekyan, thanking his Swedish colleague for hospitality, noted that the Staff of the National Assembly, permanently striving for developing the capacities, has also the experience of its own development, and similar meetings are also important in terms of presenting the Armenian experience.

Within the working visit the employees of the Expertise and Analytical Department of the National Assembly had meetings with the colleagues of the Research Centre of Riksdag. During the three-day meetings, the employees of the two divisions discussed the methodology of the rendering services, researches, conclusions of the draft laws, the scientific analyses.

The members of the delegation also met with the heads of the Communications Division and the Department for Visits, Education and Events. The content, the peculiarities, the challenges and the solutions of the services rendering by the subdivisions were discussed.

As a result of the three-day meetings, the Heads of the Staffs of the two parliaments reached an agreement to deepen the cooperation in different directions of the activities.

The cognitive visit was paid within the framework of the UNDP Project Modern Parliament for a Modern Armenia, which is financed by the Government of Sweden.
