On July 6, the National Assembly debated in the first reading the draft law on Amending the RA Criminal Procedure Code.

The clarification of the authorities of the investigative body head in the RA Criminal Procedure Code served as a basis for the elaboration of the initiative.

As the Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee Arsen Ayvazyan informed, the efficiency of the authorities of the investigative body will be set with the proposing amendment, excluding the decision making in relation to the issue of organizational-technical character and the availability of the consent in written form of the relevant superior prosecutor on them.
