Draft Law to Regulate Issue of Notifications of Participants in Administrative Proceedings by Administrative Bodies
1 / 3

“Unfortunately, there are cases in our reality when some citizens, taking advantage of a gap in the law and their certain legal knowledge, do not fulfil their obligations to the state and public,” Gevorg Papoyan said, presenting the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Fundamentals of Administration and Administrative Proceedings.

On May 24, the draft was debated at the RA NA sitting for the first time.

The draft law will regulate the issue of notifications of the participants in administrative proceedings by the administrative bodies. In particular, a provision is set, according to which, the notification will be posted on the official website of public notifications of the Republic of Armenia simultaneously with the notification of individuals and legal entities. The person will no longer be considered properly notified on the fifth calendar day following the day of posting the notification.

The adoption of the draft law envisages a reduction of expenditures in the budget of the state or the local self-government body. In particular, costs envisaged for notifications and used office supplies will be reduced.

The Deputy Minister of Justice Yeranuhi Tumanyants presented the endorsement of the executive body. According to her, the draft law stems from the general policy adopted by the Government, which implies the digitalization of general processes.
