Economic Issues in RA-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement Discussed

On May 18, a workshop was held in the National Assembly dedicated to the discussion of the economic issues in the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed between Armenia and the European Union. The workshop took place within the framework of the EU Twinning Project, which is carried out for the National Assembly of Armenia in cooperation with the parliaments of Hellenic and Italian parliaments.

In her opening remarks the Head of the Project from the Hellenic Parliament Eleni Kanellopoulou highlighted the efficiency of the exchange of experience also for three parliaments.

The Acting Head of the Office of Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Greek Embassy to Armenia Alexandra Rouva touched upon the increase of the volumes of the trade turnover between the RA and the EU as result of entering into force of the CEPA.

The European experts presented the EU directives referred to the regulation of trade discount, the Greek and Italian experience in the sphere of the regulating the market of products and services. The specialists also introduced the results of their study on the bills on the trade discount regulation, after which there was discussion between the employees of the parliaments.
