Ambassador of Bulgaria to RA Hosted in Parliament

On January 21, the Head of the RA NA Armenia-Bulgaria Friendship Group Anush Begloian met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia Kalin Vasilev Anastasov.

Welcoming the Ambassador, Anush Begloian highlighted the close cooperation of the Friendship Groups of parliaments in the development of the Armenian-Bulgarian relations. The MP spoke about the necessity of deepening of cooperation in the international different structures.

The Head of the Friendship Group presented the post-war situation existing in the region and particularly on the border. Anush Begloian talked about the inadmissibility of the infiltration of the Azerbaijani armed forces into the RA sovereign territory, in this issue emphasized the stressed attitude of the international community and the friendly countries and the practical steps taken by them.

The Ambassador of Bulgaria has noted that they follow the processes going on in the region and share the EU position on the situation.

Kalin Vasilev Anastasov talked about the friendly relations and the cultural commonalities between the two countries and peoples. In strengthening the bilateral relations, the Ambassador emphasized the role of the Armenian community of Bulgaria. According to the guest, the community has an active participation in the political-public life of the country.

Agreeing that there is unused big potential in a number of spheres, the sides expressed willingness to undertake steps also in that direction.

It has been noted that in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) the activation of the countries’ cooperation for implementing transport and other economic cooperation programmes in the region.
