On January 18, chaired by Vladimir Vardanyan, the extraordinary sitting of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs was held. The draft law on Making Addendum to the Law on the RA Civil Code authored by the NA deputies Tatevik Gasparyan, Lena Nazaryan and Narek Babayan was debated in the second reading.
According to the proposed amendment, if the identity of the citizen is not confirmed within at least one month from the moment of death, the opening day of the inheritance will be considered not the day of death, but the day of state registration of death. Regulation will not be applied for those cases when, as of the day the law enters into force, there is already an application submitted to the notary on receiving an inheritance or a certificate of inheritance.
The key rapporteur Lena Nazaryan informed that written proposals related to the bill were not presented. It remained unchanged.
In his co-report, Artur Davtyan urged his colleagues to vote in favor.
The draft law was endorsed.
