Proposed Amendments and Addenda to Ensure Effective Conduct of Judicial Review of Cases
1 / 17

On January 17, at the RA NA regular sitting, the package of laws on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Constitutional Law Judicial Code of the Republic of Armenia and the enclosed ones authored by the deputies Vladimir Vardanyan and Vahagn Hovakimyan was debated in the first reading.

The purpose of the proposed amendments is to ensure the effective conduct of the judicial review of cases, as well as the proper exercise of the rights and legitimate interests of their participants.

According to the key rapporteur Vladimir Vardanyan, the draft was debated during the previous convocation of the National Assembly. Some regulations of the legislative initiative were recognized unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court. As Vladimir Vardanyan said, following the positions of the Constitutional Court, relevant amendments were made to the bill.

The co-rapporteur, the member of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Artur Davtyan presented the endorsement of the Head Committee on the draft. He called on to vote for the bill.

The debate of the issue will continue on January 18.
