Committee Debates Addenda to be Proposed to Law on Remuneration of Persons Holding State Positions and State Service Positions
1 / 4

At November 30 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs, the draft law on Making Addenda to the Law on Remuneration of Persons Holding State Positions and State Service Positions was debated.

The draft law stipulates that the basic salary of persons holding state positions and state service positions for 2022 cannot be less than 70% of the nominal minimum monthly salary established by law.

The Acting Head of the Civil Service Office of the RA Prime Minister’s Staff Vache Kalashyan has noted that the executive body proposes to keep the current basic salary in force for 2022.

The rapporteur has stated that there is a certain group of state servants for whom the rates are characterized by low coefficients, for example, the junior state servants. As Vache Kalashyan has said, in case of applying those coefficients to the basic salary, their remuneration will be lower than the nominal minimum monthly salary.

The Committee endorsed the draft law.
