On October 25, the joint sitting of the NA Standing Committees began in parliament, during which the RA draft law on the RA State Budget for 2022 was debated.

The RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presented his observations, approaches and main messages on the state budget for 2022.

The state budget for 2022 is based on three priorities: reform and improvement of the security system, development of the infrastructures, modernization of the education and science.

It is designed by the state budget for 2022 to increase the capital expenditures by 55%; they will be 347bln AMD.

“Today we present the first budget of the Government five-year programme, which is called on to create firm bases for the implementation of the five-year programme. We envisage 7% economic growth, despite the fact that great part of the current year was marked by the political and security unstable environment, today our economy exceeds all the forecasts made in terms of the growth for 2021. On the other hand, the Government has hope for more growth by the results of the year,” Pashinyan said.

According to the draft law, the budget revenues for 2022 are 2 trillion 946 billion AMD, which is by 17% more towards 2020, and 25% more towards 2020.
