RA NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs Held a Three-Day Workshop

On October 13-15, the RA NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs with the support of the International Republican Institute (IRI) held a three-day workshop to discuss the coming works and priorities of the Committee, as well as a number of most important drafts.

The representatives of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs headed by the Deputy Minister Ruben Sargsyan took part in the workshop to discuss the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Labor Code.

Highlighting the effective and mutually beneficial cooperation of the legislative and executive bodies, Ruben Sargsyan underlined that the jointly implemented legislative amendments would really promote the dynamic development of employer-employee legal relations: “Once again discussing the proposals and observations presented by our colleagues, we expect to have a document until the end of the year, which will protect not only the rights of the employer and the employee, but also will improve the legislative field fixing the labor relations through new regulations.”

On the third day of the workshop the members of the Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs met with the expert Dimitri Tskitishvili, who introduced the Georgian experience of the labor legislation reforms.
