At October 1 extraordinary sitting, the RA NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs, moderated by Heriknaz Tigranyan, has debated the draft law of the Government on Making Amendment and Addendum to the RA Law on Remuneration of the Persons Holding State Positions and State Service Positions, by which an attempt is made to expand the scope of social package services being provided to persons holding state positions and state service positions.

As the first Deputy Minister of the RA Labor and Social Affairs Ruben Sargsyan has assured, it is envisaged to include such direction in the social package services by which it will also be possible to direct the means being allocated for the social package to covering the payment set for making use of the services of the sport-health complexes, swimming pools and other sport organizations, as well as to state subsidized student loans repayment. It has been noted that the need for additional financial means is absent by the adoption of the draft, so an increase or decrease in budget expenditures and revenues of the RA State or Local Self-Government body is not envisaged.

The co-rapporteur Heriknaz Tigranyan emphasized the importance of the bill.

As a result of debate and voting, the bill was endorsed to be included in the draft agendas of the NA second session and upcoming regular sittings.
