On September 30, the President of the RA National Assembly Alen Simonyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the RA (Residence in Moscow) Juan Genaro del Campo Rodriguez.

Welcoming the Ambassador, the President of the National Assembly congratulated him on the occasion of being appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the Republic of Armenia, wishing him success in the programmes to be implemented.

In the context of the close cooperation with the Latin-American countries the NA President highlighted the inter-parliamentary relations with Parliament of Peru, underlining the necessity of the formation of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Groups.

Expressing his gratitude to the NA President for the reception, the Ambassador of Peru underlined that during the implementation of his mission the development of bilateral ties would be observed of priority in the programme. He has noted that the role of the parliaments is great in strengthening Armenia-Peru multi-lateral partnership relations.

Issues on the membership of two countries in the Ancient Civilizations Forum were also discussed, and both sides emphasized the formation of the joint agendas on the cultural heritage at the level of the legislative bodies.

At the end of the meeting ideas were exchanged over the necessity of the programmes ahead of the 30^th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republics of Armenia and Peru.
