Arman Yeghoyan and Arsen Torosyan Meet with Members of Hellenic Parliament

On September 23, the Chair of the RA National Assembly Standing Committee on European Integration Arman Yeghoyan and the Committee member Arsen Torosyan met with the Chair of Greek-Armenian Friendship Group of Hellenic Parliament Dimitrios Markopoulos and the members of the Committee on European Affairs.

During the meeting the deputies talked about the similarity of the Armenian and Greek peoples’ historical destinies, touched upon the centuries-old relations between the two peoples, which pre-determined the close cooperation in the current strategic, economic, cultural, touristic and a number of other spheres.

The parliamentarians also spoke about the challenges existing in the region, the works to be done for ensuring regional stability and in this context the necessity of the cooperation deepening.

The sides also highlighted the continuity of cooperation on the international different platforms and the further development of the parliamentary ties.

Let us remind that the Armenian MPs are in Athens in the frameworks of the programme Strengthening the capacity of the RA National Assembly to further Support the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) oversight and implementation that the Hellenic Parliament and Parliament of Italy implement.
