Parliament Passes Debated Legislative Initiatives in Second Reading

On September 24, parliament debated in the second reading the package of draft laws on RA Administrative-Territorial Division and the presented enclosed ones authored by the Government at the extraordinary sitting.

The RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan noted that two amendments were made in the package of draft laws. The centre of Araks enlarged community of Armavir marz was moved from Jrarat to Gai settlement, and Nor Hachn will be united also with 8 settlements, Nor Hachn and Yeghvard enlarged communities will be.

According to the Chair of the Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection Vahe Ghalumyan, the revised version was formed as a result of joint work, receiving an endorsement.

Parliament also debated in the second reading the package of draft laws on Anti-Corruption Committee and the presented enclosed ones authored by the NA deputies Vahagn Hovakimyan and Vladimir Vardanyan.

The key rapporteur Vahagn Hovakimyan informed that the part of the regulations related to the employment pension of the long-term service was removed from the package at the suggestion of the Government counterparts in the first to the second reading.

As the key rapporteur, the member of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Artur Davtyan presented, the Committee endorsed the package of draft laws.

As a result of votes, parliament approved the debated legislative initiatives.
