Eduard Aghajanyan Meets with Baroness Caroline Cox

On September 16, the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Eduard Aghajanyan met with the Delegation headed by the Member of the House of Lords of Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Baroness Caroline Cox.

Welcoming the guests, Eduard Aghajanyan thanked Baroness Cox for permanently being next to the Armenian people at the hard moments of our country, as well as for doing invaluable work for the benefit of Armenia.

The Committee Chair presented the post-war situation in the region and expressed concern about the issue of the illegally detained Armenian prisoners of war by Azerbaijan. Eduard Aghajanyan has affirmed that Azerbaijan does not fulfill its obligation stipulated by trilateral statement, according to which, prisoners of war and other detainees should immediately get the opportunity to return to their Motherland. In this issue, the sides highlighted the support of all international colleagues.

During the meeting, issues on cooperation between the Friendship Groups of parliaments of two countries was also touched upon.
