RA NA President Alen Simonyan Meets with Marszałek of Senate of Poland Tomasz Grodzki

The President of the RA National Assembly Alen Simonyan met with the Marszałek/Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Tomasz Grodzki in Vienna. At the meeting, the sides highlighted the Armenian-Polish long-term friendly relations.

During the talk, it has been recorded that the close cooperation in the parliamentary format has its important role in enriching the agenda of the Armenian-Polish inter-state relations and deepening the existing friendly ties.

Alen Simonyan informed his Polish counterpart that Armenia expects support from its partners in the peaceful and long-term settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict in the format of the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, as well as political pressure on Azerbaijan, to release the prisoners of war and civilians as soon as possible.

As a response to it, the Marszałek of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Tomasz Grodzki noted that the position of Poland from the beginning was that all conflicts should be solved peacefully, without victims. He emphasized that the created situation should be settled as soon as possible, and all persons kept by Azerbaijan should be immediately released.

The RA NA President invited his counterpart to pay an official visit to Armenia, during which the formats of further cooperation will be outlined.
