The items of approving the work order of the Committee and electing Deputy Chair of the Committee were on the agenda of the extraordinary sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs held on August 30.

The MPs debated and approved the work order of the Committee.

Nazeli Baghdasaryan informed that the NA Civil Contract Faction nominated Rustam Bakoyan as a candidate for the post of the Deputy Chair of the Committee. The deputy has noted that the issues related to the national minorities are also in the scope of activity of this Committee. Nazeli Baghdasaryan referred to the candidate’s working activity too.

Thanking the Civil Contract Faction for nominating him, Rustam Bakoyan has stated that there is a lot to do in the field of human rights both in Armenia and while communicating with the international community.

As a result of voting, Rustam Bakoyan was elected in the post for the Deputy Chair of the Committee.
