NA Deputy Visits Wounded Soldiers
1 / 5

From 27 September 2020, the Armenian soldiers were fighting in the war unleashed by Azerbaijan for 44 days. The Armenians from different countries of the world hearing about the war, came to their homeland.

The representatives of the largest national minority in Armenia fought against the enemy for 44 days equal to the Armenians. The Yazidis formed volunteer groups in the first days and joined the defense of Artsakh. During that time, 20 out of them died and the number of the wounded is more than 100.

The NA deputy, the representative of the Yazidi community Rustam Badasyan usually visits the wounded soldiers. He knows about their problems. On April 18, the deputy again visited the boys.

A future singer Shamal Uzoyev lives in Mrgavet community of the Ararat province. Shamal and his brother studied in the Ashough Jivani School. He acquired a third degree of disability during the war. Shamal dreams of recovering from the injured leg and hand and be able to enter Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. Seeing the brother’s pains, little Tehmina decided to become a doctor for healing all wounded soldiers.

Yuri Hamzoyan from the Yazidi community lives in Russia. He arrived in Armenia at the age of 18 to pay his debt to the homeland. He was wounded in Shushi last days. Yuri inherited patriotism from his uncle who died during the first Artsakh war.

The Aloyan brothers also returned to Armenia from distant Austria to pay their debt to the homeland. The boys’ grandfather is sure: it is our debt to be with the Armenian brothers. The eldest brother, the scout Tengiz, resisted for hours with five friends against an enemy group of about 200 people. They succeeded in destroying almost half of them. The younger brother still continues to serve in Artsakh. The NA deputy on behalf of himself and the community expressed readiness to help the boys – to stand up and continue their life. He urged the boys to certainly continue their education.
