It is Proposed to Extend Term of Authorities of Inquiry Committee
1 / 6

On March 5, an extraordinary sitting was convened of the Inquiry Committee for studying the effectiveness of the measures taken by the Government and the Commandant’s Office to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus (COVID 19), to mitigate or eliminate the consequences of the epidemic in the fight against the virus, as well as to study the effectiveness and legality of restrictions of human rights and fundamental freedoms during the state of emergency at the initiative of the members of My Step Faction.

“As the Inquiry Committee was formed in a hard period, and a number of works remained suspended, thus to make complete and to sum up additional time is necessary,” Heriknaz Tigranyan said. The Inquiry Committee applied to the state bodies for receiving appropriate information, and six more months would be necessary for making a report on it.

The Committee accepted the proposal.

A decision was made to the National Assembly to include the item in the agenda of the upcoming regular sittings.
